Unlike more traditional forms of therapy, SFBT does not analyze and focus on your past experiences and traumas. Instead, SFBT focuses on identifying the solutions that you seek in the present, as well as the goals and tasks needed to get you there. In SFBT, it is understood that you already have the skills necessary to reach the solution - you just need some support and guidance on realizing your potential, and putting solution focused tasks into practice on a regular basis. Goal setting is at the forefront of SFBT, and works well being paired with CBT to help you make positive changes in your life. SFBT is effective wil all age groups.
